Having read what you have to say and realising the limitations of your experience and thus the limitations within your ideas, all i can suggest is you sit your ass down and meditate. Initially you will fail to get anywhere significant because your 'fragile ego' (in your words) is fronted by a excessively buoyant ego that is obviously crying out for the attention you fail to receive in the real world. So my suggestion of meditation, if persisted with, with enable you to get to the core of your issues, which more than likely result from a lack of attention from your own father in your childhood.
